This year will mark the 65th anniversary of the Christmas City of the North Parade. The Christmas City of the North Parade has been a Northland holiday tradition since 1958! Today, it is the most attended public event in the Northland. Bringing together residents from all walks of life and uniting generations of family with memories of its Christmas spirit and fun traditions. The parade starts at Fitgers, 600 East Superior Street proceeding through the heart of downtown along Superior Street to 4th Avenue West.
Parade spectators are welcome to watch the parade from anywhere along the route. The parade is broadcast live on KBJR-TV channel 6.1 and online at kbjr6.com.
Parking
Free parking is available downtown after 5 p.m. in ramps at Fourth Avenue Auto Park, Fitger’s Brewery Complex, Duluth Technology Village, Shoppers Auto Park, Medical District Ramp, Phoenix Parking Lot, St. Luke’s Hospital Ramp, St. Luke’s Employee Parking Lot, Fourth Avenue Auto Park, US Bank and the lot at First Avenue East and First Street. Cars must exit the ramps before midnight to avoid a fee.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the area of this event. Downtown traffic should return to normal by approximately 8:30 p.m.
