DULUTH, Minn.– The local restaurant, Taste of Saigon in Canal Park, now has a new name and a new taste.
Under new ownership, ‘Pho-licious’ is serving up authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
The co-owner, who is also the owner’s wife, received hands-on training in Washington, D.C., learning the art of crafting traditional dishes.
They described making pho as a true labor of love, with the broth simmering for 20 hours to bring out its rich flavor.
The co-owner is hoping the effort will pay off.
“I’ll be honest it’s stressful. In new business, anytime you have a new business it’s difficult. But it’s exciting to come down here and prepare food for people. Because food is something that touches your heart. So, we can put that into what we do, and people really enjoy it,” said Joel Perrin, the co-owner of Pho-licious.
Stay tuned for Monday night when we feature ‘Pho-licious’ in our knowing your neighbor segment.
