Per the Duluth News Tribune:
The unpaved path next to the Lakewalk in Canal Park has been reopened to the public, following the Oct. 10 storm surge that damaged the boardwalk, according to city officials.
The now-accessible section runs between the canal and Endion Station. Crews will have equipment and safety fencing removed Friday morning.
The city plans to have the 12th Street beach access and Brighton Beach road opened later today. Crews hope to complete improvements to the DECC and Great Lakes Aquarium as soon as weather conditions allow.
The pedestrian trail behind the Ledges residential units and the Lakewalk trail between Lake Place and Leif Erikson parks remain closed.
